Vanessa Paradis Hair 20French model and long time partner of Johnny Depp is Vogue UK’s current cover girl, and inside the issue, Vanessa Paradis speaks on motherhood and finding a place that feels like home. Mother to two kids, both who were fathered by Johnny, Vanessa Paradis romantically describes motherhood as ”the greatest love story” and continues to say:“I love being a mother. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid, but it was never as wonderful as it is for real. It’s so beautiful. And yes, obviously, when you put yourself second, it has to make you a little less selfish.”

Vanessa Paradis Hair 21The family have homes all over the world, and Vanessa Paradis says that Vanessa Paradis really enjoys traveling which is why their relationship works so well. Vanessa Paradis also feels as though Vanessa Paradis can call anywhere Vanessa Paradis is home, as long as Vanessa Paradis is with her family: “It’s difficult sometimes but you can’t have it all. Everything’s got a price to pay. You could lose your head or your mind. And you do but. it’s either that or your stay in one place. I wouldn’t like to always be in the same place. To have the same everything. I like to move, stay for a few months, and make a life in a place. Home is pretty much where the people you love most are. You know, I can feel at home in a lot of different places.”

Vanessa Paradis Hair 22Vanessa Paradis believes that traveling a lot is good for her children’s education because they see the world first hand: “It’s great for education – lots of different habits and cultures and languages and visual surroundings. And it fills you. It makes you who you are. I hope it makes them a little more open. Hopefully, a little bit better.”

Vanessa Paradis Hair 23Here are the facts as we know them: These two have been together for 13 years, have two beautiful kids, own their own island, have been in the top 10 on this list since we started making it, and Depp is the only actor to headline two films that grossed a worldwide box office take of $1 billion. Needless to say, Depp casts a big shadow. But it didn't stop his wife, model Vanessa Paradis, from landing the cover of French Vogue, scoring a gig as the face of Chanel handbag and lipstick line, and kicking off a singing career. But with all this fame, money and power, are they happy? Depp addressed this in Vanity Fair: "Money doesn't buy you happiness. But it buys you a big enough yacht to sail right up to it."

Vanessa Paradis Hair 25French actress Vanessa Paradis doesn't worry about showing the effects of ageing because Vanessa Paradis believes achievements are more important than appearance. "What do you wanna do? You can pull what you're gonna pull. But it's always going to be there - the age and the lack of limberness. It's not about that. It depends what you've achieved in your life and where you are at in your life. And it's not like I'm that old that I can't look at myself in the mirror. I'm not there yet," contactmusic.com quoted Vanessa Paradis as saying.

Vanessa Paradis Hair 26Vanessa Paradis (who is now best known as the mother of Johnny Depp’s children) announced her first shows ever performed in the US. The first of her two dates was February 16, 2010 at Town Hall in New York. The second takes place in a few days in Los Angeles. The night started off on a disappointing note for me as Vanessa Paradis arrived to her first ever concert in this country with her head down and didn’t look up or acknowledge fans as Vanessa Paradis entered the building. More on her exit in a few moments. As hard as that is to get over for someone like me who not only goes to a concert to see a performance but is also very curious as to how the stars treat their fans, I’ve liked her music for too long to let that get the best of me.

Vanessa Paradis Hair 27Vanessa Paradismay not have the best vocal range on the planet, but her signature style of crooning in both French and English was in full force tonight. Her voice sounds angelic and her performance was sexy as hell! Vanessa Paradis looked and sounded amazing and though the show was not sold out, the audience showed Vanessa Paradis that we do not want another 19 years to pass before Vanessa Paradis plays live for us again! Her outfits were very well decorated and as Vanessa Paradis shimmied to the music, I could not help but think – Johnny Depp is a lucky man! I am not familiar with all of her music, but off her self-titled album, Vanessa Paradis played “Sunday Mondays” and “Be My Baby” (my favorite track off that record) with totally different arrangements. Vanessa Paradis also performed covers of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and Sam Cooke’s “What A Wonderful World.” Other notable songs were “Joe Le Taxi,” “Marilyn and John,” “Maxou,” ”Dis Lui Toi Que Je T’aime” and ”Tandem,” which were both written by Serge Gainsbourg.
