Eva Green Short Hair

    Eva Green Short Hair 1

Eva Green Short Hair 1Whether or not she’s your favorite Bond girl, Eva Green Green is undeniably beautiful as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale. So we are especially confused as to why she would take her lovely long locks and turn them into this veritable nest of hair at the BAFTA awards in London. And are those black streaks over her natural brown color? We’ve seen big hair gone bad before, but this is just a little too Bride of Frankenstein for us. Tell us: What do you think of Eva Green’s hairdo?

    Eva Green Short Hair 2

Eva Green Short Hair 2WHAT was the biggest mess at the Baftas, Jonathan Ross's script or Eva Green Green's hair? Why book JR and water down his gags? Eva Green looked like she'd come on a bike. Possibly from a Motocross rally. There seemed to be tyre-tracks all over her dress. The Baftas would be better if the awards could be taken back should the director follow up a great film with one that stinks. Let's see a roll-call of shame at the ceremony, like the opening credits of Branded.

    Eva Green Short Hair 3

Eva Green Short Hair 3She may be a relative newcomer to the red carpet, but stunning Eva Green was the only starlet who really wowed this awards season. Edgy, sexy and bordering on the gothic, her experimental brand of beauty stands out among a blur of veteran celebs playing it safe. Not only have her latest red carpet looks been 'wow'-inducing – going by the plethora of hair heaven on this season's catwalks – she couldn't have been more bang-on-trend if she'd tried! Eva Green, we salute you, and your wacky hair habits. And with the help of Karine Jackson, one of London's leading stylists, you too can cause a tress-sation this season...

    Eva Green Short Hair 4

Eva Green Short Hair 4Eva Green Baftas 'do may appear daunting, but textured teasing is one of the hottest looks of the season, with the likes of Jasper Conran and Alexander McQueen flaunting identical dos on their spring/summer catwalks. If you've got a big night out planned, take a leaf out of Eva Green book and don't be afraid to experiment – with Karine's help you'll have this look sculpted to perfection in seconds!

    Eva Green Short Hair 5

Eva Green Short Hair 5Eva Green look is messy but with control,' Karine says, 'and the strong elongated shape and carefully placed hair gives it a vampy, gothic feel. She has great thick hair, which is perfect to achieve this style. To recreate her fab hair up style at home, start by using a mousse on damp hair making sure you put a lot on the roots. Dry this in while lifting the hair from the roots - this will give you the volume you'll need. Once dry, use heated rollers to set the hair in large sections - lift up from the roots and over direct the rollers. Each section should be sprayed with a setting lotion; Tecni Art Pli by L'Oréal Professionnel is great for this. Let the rollers cool down, then take them out and section the hair from just in front of the ears. Leave the front section for now, and gently backcomb the hair, then sweep the hair at the back loosely into your hand like a ponytail, roll the hair over your hand and spread hair horizontally across your nape like a French pleat.'

    Eva Green Short Hair 6

Eva Green Short Hair 6A top tip for hair up-dos, is to source some matte hairgrips – they're much better as they don't slide out of the hair – and fringe pins which are a long U shape,' suggests Karine. 'Slide matte hairgrips into the top of the roll securing it well. With a pintail comb, gently pull the roll to loosen it up. Use a good hairspray to hold. Divide the front of the hair into three sections – the top and two sides. Gently backcomb the roots of the hair and pull apart. Lifting it high, take the top section over to the back to meet the French pleat and pin into the pleat spreading loosely; repeat this with the side sections leaving a few pieces cascading over the top. Spray the hair well with finishing spray and add a little L'Oréal Tecni Art Gloss Control shine spray (£9.95).'

    Eva Green Short Hair 7

Eva Green Short Hair 7This look may take a bit of practice to master, but you won't regret giving it a whirl! Although this style suits any shade, you might fancy copying Eva Green dark and delicious hue while you're at it. 'Eva Green colour is rich and glossy.' says Karine. 'Even though the style is tousled and messy, the strong glossy colour keeps it looking healthy. For a similar colour try a semi-permanent gloss colour in rich chestnut brown.'

    Eva Green Short Hair 8

Eva Green Short Hair 8For the Oscars, Eva Green brought a little vamp-style beauty to proceedings with this rich, dark chocolate mane, lengthy and glossy with great volume at the crown. 'She has stayed with the rich chestnut brown colour giving her maximum shine,' notes Karine.

    Eva Green Short Hair 9

Eva Green Short Hair 9Again, another on-trend move by the actress. 'There's a distinctive '60s look here, which is a great sexy style and easy to achieve yourself,' says Karine, 'it shouldn't take more than half an hour to do at home. You don't want to make the hair sticky, so use the Kerastase Volume Active Spray on the roots to give you the lift needed, and a good sculpting mousse on the rest of the hair. Blow-dry with a large round brush, lifting the hair as high as possible and rolling right up to give a soft bouncy curl. If you find this difficult to do then set the hair in very large Velcro rollers and, using the L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli, dry well. Once the hair is dry gently brush through using a natural hair bristle brush, so you have soft movement.'

    Eva Green Short Hair 10

Eva Green Short Hair 10Karine advises taking 'a middle parting at the front of the hair about 3” long, then smooth this over with some hairspray and tuck behind the ears. Pin it at the back under the rest of your hair so you won't have to worry about it falling into the face. Take the hair left at the top and backcomb from the back getting as much height as possible. Spray the root area well with hairspray again, then gently smooth the hair over to the back. Let the hair tousle softly to the front.' Sounds simple enough eh? But oh-so effective. Finish with a spritz of a good holding spray and a gloss spray to achieve Eva Green-like shine, and you're good to head out and find your own red carpet.

    Eva Green Short Hair 11

Eva Green Short Hair 11Eva Green is the new shooting star in Hollywood. The 24-year old French with the British name was discovered by the erotic directing master Bernardo Bertolucci ("The Last Tango in Paris") who cast her in a nudity-heavy role in "The Dreamers". In the drama Eva Green embodied the Parisian Isabelle, who seduces the young, naive American Mattew (Michael Pitt) with her brother Theo (Louis Garrel). In her new movie, the monumental Knight of the Cross epic "Kingdom of Heaven" (Director: Ridley Scott), Eva Green plays the mysterious, dressed from head to toe in luxurious oriental clothes, king's sister Sibylla, who spins the head of the heroic knight Balian (Orlando Bloom)

    Eva Green Short Hair 12

Eva Green Short Hair 12Variety is reporting that the French actress Eva Green will play Serafina Pekkala in The Golden Compass movie. Her previous films include The Dreamers and Kingdom of Heaven, whilst she will play the Bond girl Vesper Lynd in the next James Bond film, Casino Royale. Green has finalised the deal for the first His Dark Materials movie, with an option to star in two sequels, if they are made.

    Eva Green Short Hair 13

Eva Green Short Hair 13“I had to pinch myself every day, like, ‘Oh my god, I’m in a Bertolucci movie,’” Green says. “We used to go to his house every weekend and he’d talk about the cinema and music and art. It was just amazing. It was a great start, for sure, to work with Bertolucci. It was hard, though, because when you start with somebody so great, you think you’ll be disappointed after that.”

    Eva Green Short Hair 14

Eva Green Short Hair 14Though she doesn’t say it, it’s fair to assume Green hasn’t met such disappointment, nor has her career gone the way of recently-deceased Last Tango star Maria Schneider, who never truly regained the attention that, for better or worse, her baring-all breakout brought her. Green, who cites French luminary Isabelle Adjani as her childhood icon and actorly inspiration, has starred opposite Nicole Kidman, Orlando Bloom, Daniel Graig, Judi Dench, Jeremy Irons, Romain Duris, Edward Norton, Kristin Scott Thomas and Ewan McGregor. As is the case with Cracks, it’s not uncommon for her to be the most indelible player of the movie in which she appears.

    Eva Green Short Hair 15

Eva Green Short Hair 15Born to a French mother and Swedish father and raised partially in London, Green has an alluringly odd, uniquely exotic appeal, which undoubtedly affects the sorts of scripts she’s offered. Is it a help or a hindrance for an actor to have a trademark package of characteristics that inevitably paints a specific picture in the minds of filmmakers and casting directors? Green seems torn on the question. She’s aware that she’s sometimes perceived as being “mysterious” and “not from this world” (“It’s kind of true,” she laughs), but she also doesn’t want to be pigeonholed, or “put in the femme fatale box.”

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 2Who is Eva Gaëlle Green?[1] Green is know as a French actress, raised in Paris and living partly in London. She has been noted by Vogue for her "killer looks, intelligence and modesty",[2] and described by The Independent as "gothic, quirky, and sexy".[3]

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 3

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 3Eva Green daughter of actress Marlène Jobert, Green performed in theatre before making her film debut in The Dreamers (2003), which generated controversy over her numerous nude scenes. She achieved greater fame for her parts in Kingdom of Heaven (2005), and in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, for which she won a BAFTA. She has also modeled for numerous brands.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 4

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 4Eva Green was born 5 July 1980 in Paris, the daughter of French actress Marlène Jobert and Swedish dentist Walter Green. She grew up in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. She is of Algerian, Turkish, Swedish, and Spanish descent.[4] Green has a fraternal twin sister named Joy, who was born two minutes earlier than she was.[5] Green described her family as "bourgeois",[6] and says that her sister is very different from her.[7] Green is a natural dark blonde; she dyed her hair black aged 15.[8][9] French-Swedish actress Marika Green is her aunt.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 5

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 5Green was raised in France, went to the American School of Paris where she graduated, and spent some time in Ramsgate, London and Ireland.[10] Her school was English-speaking.[8] Green was quiet at school,[7] and developed an interest in Egyptology when she visited the Louvre at age seven.[11] Green aspired to become an actress at age fourteen, when she saw Isabelle Adjani in The Story of Adele H.. Jobert initially feared the effect an acting career would have on her sensitive daughter, but she soon supported her ambitions.[10]

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 6

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 6Eva Green enrolled at Eva St. Paul Drama School in Paris for three years, and then spent 10 weeks at Webber Dnuglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.[1] Green stated that at drama school, "I always picked the really evil roles. It's a great way to deal with your everyday emotions."[13] Green trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in New York City,[2] before she returned to Paris, where she performed in several plays.[10] Green was nominated for a Molière Award for her performance in Jalousie en Trois Fax.[14] Director Bernardo Bertolucci discovered Green in 2002, and found her "so beautiful, it's indecent". She accepted his invitation to star in The Dreamers (2003),

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 7

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 7IF EVA GREEN HAD HER WAY, she’d be starring in a remake of Mata Hari, the 1931 espionage drama that saw Greta Garbo don the bejeweled headdresses of the titular dancing spy. The larger-than-life character is the one 30-year-old Green says she’s most desperate to play, which, of course, couldn’t make more sense.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 8

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 8Widely regarded as the 20th century’s foremost femme fatale, Mata Hari, who in 1917 was executed for allegedly spying for Germany during World War I, would prove the ultimate conquest for Green, whose relatively short filmography is already brimming with vamps and vixens to be reckoned with.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 9

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 9“I think it’s always interesting for a character to have a secret,” Green says in a recent phone interview, the poor connection no match for the rich timbre of her distinctive voice. “Something dark for the audience to discover.”

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 10

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 10“Dark” and “secret” are words that spring to mind just from looking at this French actress, her ambiguous pout and smoky-eyed stare as unnerving as they are sexy. Over the past decade, Green has portrayed a witch in The Golden Compass, a princess capable of murdering her own son in Kingdom of Heaven, and the enigmatic double agent and Bond girl Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale (“It made me famous,” Green says of the latter).

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 11

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 11But femme fatale archetypes, Green insists, aren’t the only characters she’s after, nor is fame a primary pursuit. Her upcoming films include the German-made cloning drama Womb and the Sundance selection Perfect Sense, two little-known projects in which she plays a “nerdy, shy character” and a “normal character,” respectively. She can currently be seen in Cracks, a boarding-school period piece from Jordan Scott, daughter of Green’s Kingdom of Heaven director, the great Ridley Scott. While she certainly meets Green’s criteria of dark and secretive, Green’s character, an ostensibly id-driven English swimming instructor known only as Miss G., doesn’t wield any literal weapons or ensnare men. She does, however, bewitch the bevy of teenage girls who idolize her, and are entranced by her feminist impulses, her wild stories and her worldview, which bucks the norms of the film’s 1930s setting (smoking and preaching the supreme merit of “desire!” she’s like Mona Lisa Smile’s whore cousin).

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 12

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 12“Don’t think; do!” Miss G. tells her captivated pupils, whose social hierarchy is dependent upon who can best fill the role of teacher’s pet. But is Miss G. as free-spirited and forward-minded as she seems? Green, who in her own life is more thinker than doer (“I should cut off my head sometimes in order to get things done,” she says), had a blast constructing, then deconstructing, her complicated screen persona, who’s surely the main attraction, if not quite the main character. Known for her bold fashion sense and occasional modeling gigs (Emporio Armani, Dior), Green worked closely with costume designer Alison Byrne to develop a look for Miss G., whose flowing frocks and glamorous headbands and hairstyles evoke film actresses of the era.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 13

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 13But, naturally, everything is not perfect, and as the mystique of Miss G. unravels, her wardrobe does, too. Jewelry, tailored jackets and finger waves give way to frumpy housecoats, unkempt coifs and no makeup. It comes as no surprise that Green reveled in the character’s downward spiral, digging into the aesthetic and dramatic opportunities of a classic movie breakdown. But the arc of Miss G. is what appealed to the actress

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 14

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 14“It’s difficult to find good, multi-faceted roles in movies for women,” she says. “I need to fall in love with the character. I cannot just do something for the sake of it or for the money, otherwise I think I’d die. I have to fall in love with it. I’m picky—too picky, probably.”

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 15

Eva Green Hairstyles Photoshoot 15Green’s discriminating instincts haven’t exactly steered her wrong. Along with a perceptive mentor and a whole lot of nerve, she has them to thank for her breakthrough. In 2002, when Green was discovered by Italian provocateur Bernardo Bertolucci and offered a major role in his forthcoming film The Dreamers, she was urged by her family and entourage to decline. The 2003 movie, which co-stars Louis Garrel and Michael Pitt and shows a whole lot of skin, didn’t scream “wise career move” to Green’s camp. But Green ignored the warnings, having long been a fan of Bertolucci’s controversial classic Last Tango in Paris. The Dreamers, a daringly beautiful film (which, incidentally, features Green doing Garbo while play-acting scenes from Queen Christina), became an arthouse and critical success, and it gave Green a helluva first experience as a bigscreen actress.

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 1As I was typing up this week’s news about Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcote both listed as being “in talks” for roles in Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s Dark Shadows redux, I found myself wondering when they would announce who was playing Angelique, the main villain in the supernatural soap update. In the original series, Angelique was a constant pain in the ass for Barnabas Collins. She was a servant girl in 1795 with whom he messed around, to his shame. When he tells her it’s over, she goes berserk and puts a curse on his entire family. People start dying, lost souls roam the property, Barnabas becomes a vampire; it’s a real dick move on Angelique’s part.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 2

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 2Angelique continued to pester the living shit out of Barnabas throughout the centuries, and throughout the series. Now, according to deadline.com, this pivotal role has been cast, and as far as I’m concerned it’s more good news as Eva Green (Casino Royale) has taken the role of Angelique. If you’re in proximity to any of the show’s hardcore fans, you will doubtlessly hear them freeeak the hell out over a brunette being cast in the role originated by Lara Parker. But as her last big blockbuster* proved, hair color doesn’t mean a whole lot in terms of casting iconic roles, and Eva Green is certainly easy to imagine as a temptress with a mean streak. It’s becoming harder and harder to remain cynical with the kind of casting news we’ve gotten this week. Green is the goods; it would seem Burton and Depp aren’t screwing around here. I hope they can pull this off.

This hairstyle is beautiful and what makes it even more is the healthy look of the hair and the solid color of the strands which work very well with her pale skin tone. The hairstyle itself is thick luscious long waves and curls that give almost a retro type feel with a little bit of romance. This hairstyle is great for many different occasions and a excellent choice for anyone with thick long hair.

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 6She went for a Bardot inspired look, with the ends finished to look more raw. To make this look work, it's imperative the layering around the face is really long and sits just above the length. She has great hair to work with. Its thick, moves and will keep shape; a perfect style for her face shape.

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 7As for Eva, Warren says: "Many people go for this look and fail with the way it's styled around the face, but Eva nails it here! Her make up is perfectly complemented, as is her dress. It's crucial that you use a heated roller or two at the front in a triangular section to get the height and movement to form a quiff at the front."

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 12Eva Green was born Eva Gaëlle Green on July 5, 1980, in Paris, France. She has a non-identical twin sister. Her father, named Walter Green, is a Swedish dentist who once appeared in the 1966 film Au hasard Balthazar (1966). Her mother, named Marlène Jobert, is an Algerian-born (during the time Algeria was part of France) French actress who retired from acting and became a writer of children's books. Young Eva Green left French school at 17. She switched to English in Ramsgate, Kent, and went to the American School in France for one year. She studied acting at Saint Paul Drama School in Paris for three years, then had a 10-week polishing course at the Weber Douglas Academy of dramatic Art in London. She also studied directing at the Tisch School of Arts at New York University.

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 13Bond girls are known for being smoldering hot and Eva Green is no exception. She can be seen in many messy hairstyles but always seems to pull them off magnificently. The dark, brunette hair seems to bring out her piercing blue eyes and very feminine facial features. This Bond girl definitely rocks that mysterious, hot style everyone wants.

    Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 14

Eva Green Hairstyles Photos 14Former Bond girl Eva Green has old Hollywood glamour down to an art. I know her style can be somewhat eccentric at times (remember her crazy backcombed-to-max-then-dragged-through-a-hedge-backwards hair at the '07 BAFTAs?) but I think she got it just right at the 2010 Evening Standard British Film Awards in London last night. The pearlescent orange-rouge lip works amazingly well against her porcelain skin and I love how she kept the rest of her makeup minimal. The pretty 1920s-inspired hairstyle is also a winner for me; what about you?
